York 492-23236-010 Electronic Pressure Sensor: High-Pressure Discharge Transmitter for Compressors in 19XR/19XRV VFD Centrifugal Chillers

The 492-23236-010 is a dedicated high-pressure discharge transmitter kit for York 19XR/19XRV variable-speed centrifugal chillers. It includes the sensor unit and a matching OEM adapter wiring harness. It features a measurement range of 0–400 PSI (0–27.6 bar) and outputs a 0.5–4.5 VDC proportional voltage signal, enabling the chiller's main control system to monitor condensing/discharge high-pressure levels.
The unit utilizes a stainless steel isolation diaphragm design (eliminating the need for O-rings in the media path) and is compatible with R134a refrigerant and POE oil under high-temperature, high-pressure operating conditions. It supports functions such as high-pressure display, condenser fan speed control, high-pressure protection, and closed-loop control of inlet guide vane (IGV) loading. Issues such as sensor wire breakage, leakage, or signal drift will trigger high-pressure sensor fault alarms and cause frequent high-pressure trips, making this a critical data-acquisition component for the centrifugal chiller.

Products Description

Product Name York 492-23236-010 Electronic Pressure Sensor
Model 492-23236-010
Applicable Industries Construction and Commercial
Application Refrigeration compressor

MOQ 1 Piece

Typical product fault symptoms:
1. Upon power-up or during operation, the unit continuously reports a high-pressure sensor fault; the pressure reading on the panel drops to zero, freezes, or fluctuates drastically.
2. Condenser fan start/stop logic malfunctions; system high pressure remains consistently high, frequently triggering high-pressure protection shutdowns.
3. Centrifugal guide vane adjustment is sluggish; the unit fails to ramp up load, cooling capacity is insufficient, and high/low pressures fluctuate violently.
4. Wiring harness connectors suffer water ingress and corrosion, causing intermittent signal loss and resulting in random load limiting or surging of the unit.
5. The diaphragm at the threaded base is damaged, leading to continuous refrigerant leakage; both high and low system pressures drop, indicating a refrigerant shortage.

Core Functions and Features:
1. Real-time Acquisition and Display of Compressor Discharge/Condenser High Pressure
Continuously monitors system high pressure, transmitting a 0.5–4.5V signal to the main controller, while the operation panel simultaneously displays real-time pressure values.
2. Staged Speed Control for Condenser Fans
The mainboard automatically starts/stops and adjusts the number of operating condenser fans based on high-pressure sensor readings to stabilize condensing pressure and reduce the likelihood of high-pressure shutdowns during full-load operation.
3. High-Pressure Protection Logic
If pressure exceeds the unit’s preset threshold, the main controller initiates a high-pressure protection shutdown; this works in conjunction with the mechanical high-pressure switch (025-34119-000) to provide dual-layer safety protection.
4. Closed-Loop Load Control via Centrifugal Inlet Guide Vanes (PRV)
Automatically adjusts the inlet guide vane opening based on chilled water outlet temperature to balance the cooling load with system high pressure, thereby minimizing surge faults.
5. Fault Self-Diagnosis and Reporting
In the event of sensor wiring breaks, short circuits, or out-of-range signals, the main controller locks out the unit and reports the high-pressure sensor fault code, enabling rapid identification of the issue for maintenance.
