The EB51FZ301G is an OEM full-lift spring-loaded safety valve designed specifically for the condensers of Carrier 19XL, 19XR, and 19XRV single-stage centrifugal chillers. Officially designated as a "Condenser Relief Valve" (matching body model SFA-22C300C1), it features a set pressure of 1.3 MPa (13 bar) and a DN25 (1-inch NPT threaded) connection.
As a critical physical safety component for explosion prevention in the refrigeration system, it operates independently of electronic controls and pressure sensors. It automatically opens to discharge refrigerant when system pressure exceeds 1.3 MPa—caused by factors such as condenser heat rejection failure, refrigerant overcharge, or pipeline blockage—thereby preventing the rupture of the condenser, liquid receiver, or high-pressure piping. The unit comes with a factory-applied lead seal and calibration mark; it is a mandatory inspection item for annual chiller maintenance, and the valve must be recalibrated or replaced if the lead seal is broken.

Precautions for product installation and replacement:
Shut down the unit, recover the refrigerant, and fully depressurize the system before disassembly; do not disassemble or install the safety valve while the system is pressurized, as this poses a risk of injury from refrigerant discharge.

The valve must be installed vertically with the arrow pointing outward; horizontal or inverted installation can cause the valve disc to shift under load, resulting in an inaccurate opening pressure.

Apply thread sealant specifically designed for refrigeration systems to the threads; do not use excessive PTFE tape, as fragments could enter the system and obstruct the valve disc.

Do not tamper with the lead-sealed adjustment nut at the top; unauthorized alteration of the opening pressure compromises safety protection and will result in failure during the annual inspection.

After installation, pressurize the unit to check for leaks, ensuring there is no refrigerant leakage at the valve outlet or threaded base.

Conduct an annual manual inspection of the valve for corrosion, leakage, or damage to the lead seal; replace the valve immediately if any defects are found.

If system pressure exceeds 1.3 MPa due to fan failure, loss of cooling water flow, refrigerant overcharge, or pipeline blockage, the valve disc automatically opens to release refrigerant. This lowers the internal pressure of the vessel, preventing catastrophic safety incidents such as the bursting of the condenser or liquid receiver and the high-pressure spray leakage of refrigerant.

Completely independent of the electronic control system; provides redundant protection
Operation is unaffected by failures of high-pressure electronic sensors, the main control board, or mechanical high-pressure switches. Even if all electronic protection systems fail, the valve can independently perform pressure relief and system shutdown. It is a mandatory safety accessory for pressure vessels.

Automatic reseating; seals automatically once the fault is cleared
When the high-pressure hazard is eliminated and pressure drops to 1.04 MPa, the spring forces the valve disc to close automatically. No manual reset is required; the unit can be restarted immediately after the fault is resolved.
