The 031-02478-001 is a dedicated three-phase IGBT inverter isolation driver board for York water-cooled VSD cabinets, specifically designed for the 19XRV water-cooled variable-speed centrifugal chiller.
It receives low-voltage PWM pulses from the logic board and, following opto-isolation and power amplification, outputs positive and negative gate drive waveforms to drive the downstream three-phase IGBT power module. This process inverts the DC bus voltage into variable-frequency three-phase AC power to supply the compressor motor. The board integrates multiple hardware protection features—including desaturation/short-circuit, overcurrent, and undervoltage protection—serving as a critical protective component for the inverter power circuit; failure of this driver board directly results in inverter faults, the inability to start the compressor, and potential breakdown or burnout of the IGBT module.

Product fault symptoms:
Upon power-up, the VSD fails its self-test; the control panel continuously reports inverter faults and IGBT driver faults;

The compressor fails to start; only the oil pump and VSD cooling water pump operate; DC bus voltage is normal, but there is no three-phase output;

Random tripping occurs during operation, indicating a power module short circuit; the IGBT blows again after the fuse is replaced;

Severe three-phase output current imbalance; the input circuit breaker trips frequently;

No drive waveform for a specific IGBT channel; insufficient compressor output and severe vibration;

Fault LED on the board remains constantly lit; no gate output from the drive channel;

Capacitors on the board are bulging and terminals are overheating; the VSD power circuit fuse blows immediately upon power-up.
