The 025-52739-000 is a genuine York NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor temperature probe designed for YLAA and YCWL air-cooled/water-cooled screw chillers. It is used to monitor chilled water inlet/outlet temperatures, cooling water temperature, discharge gas temperature, and ambient temperature.
The probe outputs a standard resistance signal to the unit's main control board for temperature monitoring, freeze protection, superheat calculation, and load regulation. Issues such as open circuits or resistance drift can lead to abnormal water temperature readings, evaporator freezing, nuisance freeze-protection shutdowns, and insufficient cooling capacity; it is an essential sensing component for screw chiller units.

Core Product Functions:
1. Real-time monitoring of chilled/cooling water temperatures
It acquires inlet and outlet water temperatures; the main controller automatically adjusts the compressor slide valve and electronic expansion valve opening based on the temperature differential to stabilize the supply water temperature.
2. Anti-freeze protection logic
When the water temperature drops below the anti-freeze setpoint, the unit activates anti-freeze heating, fan delay, and shutdown protection to prevent the heat exchanger from freezing and cracking.
3. Compressor discharge high-temperature protection
Installed on the discharge piping to monitor discharge temperature; it implements load limiting and shutdown protection upon exceeding temperature limits to prevent compressor overheating and winding burnout.
4. Auxiliary superheat calculation for the electronic expansion valve
Utilizing high and low-pressure signals, it calculates the evaporator refrigerant superheat to precisely control the opening of the electronic expansion valve.
5. Fault self-diagnosis and feedback
In the event of probe disconnection, short circuits, or resistance drift, the control panel reports a temperature sensor fault code, enabling rapid identification of the fault location.
