VAL07378 is an OEM non-condensable gas purge solenoid valve (commonly referred to as a purge valve or exhaust solenoid valve) designed for Trane CenTraVac water-cooled centrifugal chillers in the CVHE, CVHG, CDHF, and CDHG series.
Issues such as coil burnout, valve core sticking, or internal seal leakage can lead to persistently high condensing pressure, frequent high-pressure trips, insufficient cooling capacity, and excessive discharge temperatures; it is an essential fluid control component for the routine maintenance of Trane centrifugal chillers.

Product installation precautions:
1. Shut down the entire unit, stop the oil pump, and allow the compressor to fully cool down and depressurize. Close the shut-off valves at both ends of the suction circuit before removing the solenoid valve to prevent injury from high-pressure refrigerant spray.
2. Clean oil residue and metal impurities from the threaded connections; particulate matter entering the valve core can quickly tear the PTFE sealing layer.
3. Install a new FKM (fluorocarbon rubber) gasket during assembly; do not reuse aged gaskets, as this can lead to refrigerant leakage.
4. Install the valve vertically, strictly following the flow direction markings on the valve body; horizontal or inverted installation can cause the check valve to fail and lead to refrigerant backflow.
5. Route control lines away from the compressor and high-power VSD (Variable Speed ​​Drive) busbars to minimize electromagnetic interference that could cause valve malfunction.
Manually trigger the unit’s discharge sequence to verify solenoid valve operation and the generation of negative pressure by the suction pump; operate at full load for 30 minutes to ensure stable condensing pressure and the absence of faults such as high-pressure protection trips or continuous drops in oil tank levels.
