Yk 022-10022-000 Liquid Line Right-Angle Shut-off Valve (Chiller Valve Accessory for Central Air Conditioning)

Yk 022-10022-000 Liquid Line Right-Angle Shut-off Valve (Chiller Valve Accessory for Central Air Conditioning)

Part number 022-10022-000 is a genuine York right-angle manual shut-off valve for the liquid refrigerant line of water-cooled centrifugal chillers. Designed as an isolation valve for high-pressure refrigeration piping, it is installed on the high-pressure liquid line between the condenser, the filter-drier, and the electronic expansion valve.
The valve features a one-piece, forged brass, 90-degree right-angle body with an integrated self-sealing conical valve core, operated via a manual knob. It allows for the isolation of the refrigerant line during maintenance—such as replacing the filter-drier or electronic expansion valve—without requiring a full system refrigerant recovery, thereby significantly reducing maintenance effort. Issues such as valve core seal wear, stem leakage, or internal leakage can lead to slow refrigerant loss, a drop in system pressure, and accelerated saturation of the filter-drier; this is a standard, commonly used spare part for centrifugal chillers.

Key Product Advantages:
Brass valve body combined with a dual-layer FKM seal; resistant to high-temperature POE refrigeration oil and refrigerant corrosion, ensuring leak-free performance even in environments with persistent oil mist;

90° right-angle outlet design facilitates piping layout in cramped compressor compartments and minimizes fatigue damage caused by line bending;

Simple manual knob operation allows for opening and closing without specialized tools, streamlining maintenance and installation;

Zero-internal-leakage tapered valve core completely shuts off flow when closed, preventing the continued migration of moisture and impurities within the system;

Typical product failure symptoms:
1. Internal leakage due to aging of the valve core seal: The pipeline cannot be fully isolated after the valve is closed; continuous refrigerant leakage occurs during maintenance, causing system pressure to drop steadily.
2. Damage to the valve stem sealing gasket: Refrigeration oil and refrigerant slowly seep from the top knob area, leading to a gradual drop in the oil reservoir level.
3. Valve stem corrosion or seizure: The knob cannot be fully opened or closed, resulting in a failure to isolate specific pipeline sections and an inability to replace the filter-drier.
4. Missing or damaged threaded connection gaskets: High-pressure refrigerant leaks from the threaded interface, causing continuous refrigerant loss in the unit.
5. Valve core wear or material loss: Trace amounts of refrigerant continue to flow even when the valve is closed; the filter-drier continuously adsorbs moisture and impurities, leading to premature clogging and an increase in differential pressure.
