Trane SEN01960 High-Temperature Sensor: Key Functions and Application Scenarios
1. Compressor Discharge Temperature Monitoring
Monitors the real-time discharge temperature of screw and centrifugal compressors to prevent protective shutdowns caused by overheating (>110°C), thereby avoiding refrigerant decomposition, oil carbonization, and rotor damage.
2. High-Temperature Refrigerant / Cavity Temperature Control
Used for temperature measurement at high-temperature points—such as condenser outlets, compressor cavities, and oil coolers—providing precise feedback to the main control board to facilitate capacity modulation, variable-speed fan control, and load limiting.
3. Safety Protection and Fault Diagnosis
Generates over-temperature warning and/or shutdown signals, integrating with the main control board’s logic system, which encompasses over 200 distinct protection protocols; in the event of a fault, it records temperature profiles to enable rapid diagnosis of issues such as discharge overheating, oil cooling failure, or refrigerant shortage.
