The 025-33202-000 is a Johnson Controls Yor two-wire NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor temperature probe. It is a standard OEM replacement part for chillers and is compatible with the full range of Yk commercial central air conditioning units, including YS water-cooled screw, YK magnetic-bearing centrifugal, and YVFA air-cooled scroll models.
Operating Principle: Constructed from NTC semiconductor material, the probe exhibits a decrease in resistance as temperature rises; the main controller calculates real-time temperature based on resistance readings. It is used for multi-point temperature monitoring across refrigerant lines, water circuits, discharge lines, and oil systems, providing data essential for electronic expansion valve superheat control, freeze protection, high-temperature compressor interlocks, and load regulation. The unit features an integrated waterproof design; if the probe is damaged or the wiring harness ages, the entire assembly must be replaced, as the thermistor core cannot be disassembled for individual repair.
