The 025-29139-001 is a high-pressure discharge transmitter designed specifically for Johnson Controls Yk YCMA, YVFA, and YVAA air-cooled heat pumps/chillers, as well as certain small water-cooled screw chillers.
As a core high-pressure monitoring component of the refrigeration system, it is installed on the compressor's high-pressure discharge line. It features a built-in 316L stainless steel isolation diaphragm and sealed silicone buffer oil to monitor high-side condensing pressure in real time, outputting a standard 0.5–4.5V linear voltage signal to the unit's main controller. It supports functions such as electronic expansion valve flow regulation, high-pressure overload protection, compressor load unloading, and intelligent energy efficiency control, serving as a standard sensor component for R410A high-pressure systems.

Standard Installation and Replacement Specifications
1. Installation Location: Compressor high-pressure discharge branch line; install with threads facing vertically upward to ensure the silicone oil makes full contact with the diaphragm, and leave sufficient clearance for wrench operation.
Pre-installation Safety Measures
Shut down the entire unit, recover refrigerant from the high-pressure side piping, and vent pressure to atmospheric levels; disconnect the unit’s 380V main power supply and wait for the main control capacitors to fully discharge.
2. Assembly Steps
① Unplug the black waterproof wiring harness connector, use a wrench to unscrew the old 025-29139-001 sensor, and clean the base threads of any sludge, rust, or debris;
② Verify the model of the new sensor, wrap the threads with a small amount of refrigerant-resistant PTFE tape, screw it in by hand, and then tighten slightly with a wrench (do not use excessive force, which could strip threads or damage the base);
③ Reconnect the 3-pin waterproof wiring harness, ensuring the connector latch is fully locked and the connection is secure;
④ Perform a nitrogen pressure test at 400 PSI and hold for 30 minutes; the installation is considered successful if there are no refrigerant bubbles or leaks at the threaded connection;
⑤ Evacuate the piping and charge with refrigerant; run the unit at no-load for 10 minutes and verify that the high-pressure reading on the touchscreen is stable and free of fluctuations; run at full load for 30 minutes and verify stable expansion valve operation and the absence of high-pressure fault alarms.
3. Criteria for Replacement
Touchscreen shows no high-pressure value or a fixed, unchanging value; main control reports an open-circuit or out-of-range sensor fault;
Pressure readings fluctuate erratically, causing the unit to shut down frequently due to random high-pressure protection trips;
Continuous refrigerant leakage (bubbling) at the sensor threads; internal isolation diaphragm is corroded or damaged;
Severe signal drift due to long-term use; high-pressure protection and load-unloading logic are disrupted and cannot be calibrated. 4. Usage Precautions
Do not use the 025-29139-002 low-pressure sensor interchangeably with other models; a mismatch in measurement range or output curve can easily lead to chip failure under high-pressure conditions. Do not install the sensor upside down or horizontally, as silicone oil leakage or trapped air pockets can cause significant reading errors. Strictly prohibit connecting or disconnecting the wiring harness while the unit is powered, as voltage surges can damage the internal sensor chip.
