The SEN02133 is a dedicated Trane platinum resistance temperature transmitter designed for water-side applications; it is compatible with Trane’s full range of water-cooled screw and centrifugal chillers for measuring chilled and condenser water temperatures. It features a Class B Pt1000 platinum resistance sensing element, a G1/2 brass threaded immersion probe, an integrated transparent flame-retardant potted terminal box, and an IP67 waterproof multi-pin plug. It measures inlet and outlet water temperatures, providing critical data to the main controller for freeze protection, unit load modulation, and flow-linked control; its accuracy far exceeds that of standard NTC thermistor probes. The unit is an integrated assembly; in the event of probe corrosion, circuit board damage, or cable aging, the entire unit must be replaced, as the platinum resistance sensing element cannot be disassembled for individual repair.

If the inlet/outlet temperature differential deviates significantly (becoming abnormally high or low), the unit triggers an alert indicating potential heat exchanger scaling or insufficient pump flow, allowing for proactive cleaning and maintenance.
