1. Control of Slide Valve Operation
Receives signals from the unit controller; energizes to open and de-energizes to close, thereby controlling the flow of oil within the compressor’s slide valve circuit: Energized (Loading): The oil circuit opens, the slide valve moves toward the load direction, and the compressor loads up, increasing cooling capacity; De-energized (Unloading): The oil circuit is cut off, the slide valve returns to its home position, and the compressor unloads, reducing cooling capacity.
2. Stable Load Matching
Automatically adjusts compressor capacity (ranging from 25% to 100%) in response to changes in air conditioning load, preventing frequent start-stop cycles and achieving energy savings of 15% to 25%.
3. Start-Stop Protection
During unit startup, the compressor first unloads and then loads up, thereby reducing the starting current; during shutdown, it unloads rapidly to prevent compressor reverse rotation and liquid slugging.
4. Fault Protection
Forces the compressor to unload in the event of faults such as high pressure, overload, or low temperature, thereby protecting the compressor’s bearings, screw rotors, and motor.
5. Bi-directional Compatibility
Designed for use with Carrier 06N series screw compressors; compatible with both oil and gas media, offering sensitive regulation and rapid response times.
