The 025-32938-000 is a dedicated plug-in crankcase oil heater for York screw compressors—commonly referred to in the industry as an oil heating rod or crankcase heating tube. It is compatible with York YCWS, JG, PA, and PC series water-cooled screw chillers and is rated for 120VAC with a power output of 350W.
It continuously heats the lubricating oil while the unit is shut down or in standby mode. Its primary functions are to raise the oil temperature, reduce refrigerant solubility in the oil, and prevent the oil viscosity from increasing due to low temperatures. By ensuring oil fluidity prior to startup, it prevents issues such as liquid slugging and compressor seizure caused by dry running, making it a critical safety component of the screw compressor's lubrication system.
