Carrier SCPM Board 32GB50402EE CEPL130416 — HVAC Circuit Board Spare Part

Carrier SCPM Board 32GB50402EE CEPL130416 — HVAC Circuit Board Spare Part

The 32GB50402EE is a core SCPM (Compressor Protection Module) control board specifically designed for Carrier 30HXC / 30HXY series screw chillers. Serving as the unit's "safety brain," it integrates functions for compressor status monitoring, protection logic, signal acquisition, and drive control. By monitoring compressor operating parameters in real time, it rapidly executes protective actions under abnormal conditions—thereby preventing severe faults such as compressor burnout, bearing wear, and liquid slugging—and stands as a critical electronic component for ensuring the safe, stable, and efficient operation of the screw chiller unit.

Functions and Roles of the Carrier 32GB50402EE Circuit Board
1. Comprehensive Compressor Protection
It monitors key parameters—such as discharge temperature, suction pressure, discharge pressure, oil pressure differential, winding temperature, and operating current—in real-time. If any parameter exceeds its preset threshold, the board cuts off power to the compressor within milliseconds to prevent: high-pressure damage to compressor valves or casings; low-pressure issues leading to poor oil return or bearing wear; high discharge temperatures causing motor insulation burnout or oil coking; liquid slugging damaging screw rotors or end covers; and phase loss, phase reversal, or phase imbalance burning out motor windings.
2. Status Monitoring and Signal Acquisition
It acquires signals from temperature sensors, pressure sensors, oil pressure differential switches, and phase detectors, converts them into digital signals, and uploads them to the unit’s main controller, thereby enabling the visual monitoring of all operational parameters.
3. Logic Control and Interlocking
It executes control logic for compressor loading/unloading, oil heater operation, cooling fan interlocking, and electronic expansion valve coordination. By working in conjunction with the main controller, it optimizes operational efficiency and ensures the unit operates within its high-efficiency range.
Fault Diagnosis and Recording
4. Features a built-in fault self-diagnosis system that records fault codes (e.g., high-pressure alarms, high discharge temperatures) in real-time. During maintenance, fault information can be quickly retrieved, significantly reducing troubleshooting time.
5. Communication and Data Exchange
It communicates with the unit’s main control board via an internal bus to synchronize operational data, receive control commands, and provide feedback on protection statuses, thereby establishing a complete closed-loop control system.

Core Product Advantages
1.Comprehensive Compressor Protection
It monitors key parameters—such as discharge temperature, suction pressure, discharge pressure, oil pressure differential, winding temperature, and operating current—in real-time. Should any parameter exceed its preset threshold, the system cuts off the compressor’s power supply within milliseconds to prevent: high-pressure damage to compressor valves and casings; low-pressure issues leading to poor oil return and bearing wear; motor insulation burnout and carbonization caused by high discharge temperatures; liquid slugging damage to screw rotors and end covers; and motor winding burnout resulting from phase loss, phase reversal, or phase imbalance.
2.Status Monitoring and Signal Acquisition
It acquires signals from temperature sensors, pressure sensors, oil pressure differential switches, and phase detectors, converting them into digital signals for transmission to the unit’s main controller, thereby enabling visualized monitoring of all operational parameters.
3.Logic Control and Interlocking
It executes control logic for compressor loading/unloading, oil heater operation, cooling fan interlocking, and electronic expansion valve coordination. By working in tandem with the main controller, it optimizes operational efficiency and ensures the unit operates within its high-efficiency zone.
4.Fault Diagnosis and Recording
Featuring a built-in self-diagnostic system, it records fault codes (such as high-pressure alarms or high discharge temperature warnings) in real-time. During maintenance, technicians can quickly retrieve this fault information, significantly reducing troubleshooting time.
Communication and Data Exchange:Communication with the unit’s main control board is facilitated via an internal bus, enabling the synchronization of operational data, reception of control commands, and feedback on protection status, thereby establishing a complete closed-loop control system.
