1. High-Pressure Discharge Control
Installed within the discharge chamber of Carrier 06E series semi-hermetic piston compressors, this valve allows for the manual shut-off of high-pressure discharge flow. It serves to isolate the compressor from the rest of the system during independent maintenance, oil changes, or component replacements, thereby preventing refrigerant leakage and system depressurization.

2. System Inspection and Maintenance
Equipped with a service port (Schrader valve), it allows for the direct connection of a pressure gauge to monitor high-side discharge pressure, perform system evacuation, charge refrigerant, or purge impurities. It serves as an essential interface for routine unit maintenance and servicing.

3. High-Pressure Sealing and Safety
Featuring a dual-seal design—combining a hard metal seal with a high-pressure fluorocarbon rubber seal—the valve ensures zero internal leakage and exceptional resistance to high-pressure surges. During system shutdowns or maintenance procedures, it reliably locks off the high-pressure side, effectively preventing high-side gas migration, oil backflow, and the risk of liquid slugging.

Product Installation and Maintenance Guidelines:
Installation Location: Compressor high-pressure discharge chamber flange face

Installation Orientation: The arrow on the valve body must point toward the discharge line; reverse installation is strictly prohibited.

Installation Procedure:
Clean the flange face and install a brand-new fluororubber gasket.

Tighten the 4 bolts evenly in a diagonal pattern.

The valve stem should remain in the fully open position during operation; close it only when performing maintenance.

Maintenance and Replacement:
1. Common Faults: Internal leakage (high-pressure bypassing into low-pressure), valve spool seizing, seal leakage.
2. In the event of internal leakage or seal leakage, replace the entire assembly; repairing the valve spool individually is not recommended.
3. It is recommended to inspect and/or replace this valve in conjunction with the suction valve.
